Job Description:
We currently have a really exciting Graduate opportunity to join our Finance Team based here in Swindon. You’ll be provided study support and the opportunity to gain exposure and experience that can really accelerate your finance career.
Job Responsibilities:
- Producing trial reports on a pre versus post versus control basis
- Raising cross docking and picking invoices including supporting suppliers with any queries
- Supporting with month end reporting including processing journals, reconciling balances and interpreting variances
- Supporting the Trading Finance Team with all planning cycles; Budget, Forecast 1, Forecast 2 and 3 year Plan
- Assisting with aged debt and supporting the trading teams to prevent bad debt
- Producing weekly reports for the trading teams including category sales analysis and margin Volume/Rate/Mix analysis
- Producing ad hoc seasonal reports for key trading periods e.g. Back to School/Christmas
- Updating the Cognos database with adjustments for Sales & Margin, Incomes & Costs
- Assisting the trading teams to achieve the half year and year end cash targets
- Preparing Budget & Forecast packs for review meetings along with output reports for the trading teams
Job Requirements:
We are looking for a recent graduate, with some exposure to forecasting and budgets. You’ll be proactive, analytical and have some experience of using Excel. We are looking for people who have a drive to want to succeed and develop their career and are happy to learn.
